Mall of Scandinavia is one of Scandinavia’s largest and most well-known shopping centres. For this project, Fasadglas delivered and installed a canopy at the main entrance to the mall. The canopy creates an inviting space outside the mall where visitors can gather and watch the street life.

The gigantic canopy of mirrored glass is appropriate and distinguishing for a mall of this size and character. The 1,250 sq. m. mirrored canopy consists of approximately 600 pieces of glass that have been installed perfectly level so as not to create optical illusions. To achieve that, we developed a unique suspension system for adjusting the panels along the x, y, and z axes.

Lighting fixtures are attached along the top to create a play of light over the entrance to the mall. A special mirror coating was created to achieve the desired lighting effect we were after.
