Biomedicum is the driving force for research efforts at Karolinska Institutet. The various research teams at Karolinska Institutet used to be scattered all over the campus, which is a park area with several red brick buildings that were erected in the 1930s. Biomedicum has gathered them all together in a concentrated research environment, with flexible laboratory and office premises.
