For this project, we took on the challenge of very quickly (6 months after receiving the order) developing a facade for both the upper section and the prefabricated concrete elements, which needed to be similar in order to create a cohesive overall impression. There are also high requirements on insulation, noise reduction and the aesthetics.
For the high-rise section, we installed 3,600 sq. m. of unique, exo-modular facade, where the outer shell supports the inner one. The facade solution was a collaboration with Wicona and we manufactured it at our production facility in Hultsfred. For the concrete base of the building, we installed 3,000 sq. m. of screen-printed glass and Alucobond, so that it would have a similar appearance to the high-rise section. We also installed 1,700 sq. m. of single-shell facade and 250 double windows. With this solution, the building was quickly protected from the elements, enabling us work in the interior and focus on the insulation and windows. Another benefit was that we had very few and only minor thermal bridges.
The project was nominated for Glaspriset 2020 (awarded by GBF, Swedish trade association for the glass industry).
