With high requirements on performance and the complex design, there were many challenges to be overcome for the facade of Grow Hotel Solna. A standard solution simply would not suffice. There were specific requirements that needed to be met for fire certification, noise reduction and climate protection. We collaborated with Brandkonsulten and the architects at 3XN to arrive at a unique solution that would meet those requirements and the architect’s vision.

Fasadglas delivered and installed 220 Alucobond facade elements, with slanted panels that change there appearance based on the light conditions. It was a unique solution that has delivered spectacular results.

The project was nominated for Glaspriset 2020 (awarded by GBF, Swedish trade association for the glass industry).
