The Liljeholmen Quay has become a vibrant city district, where Kajplats 6 is the latest addition. With its 26 floors, the building resembles a luminous lighthouse and offers breathtaking views over Årstaviken Bay.

We were contracted by JM to design, plan, manufacture and deliver a facade solution for the top floor. We installed fully glazed facade elements weighing 600 kg each to frame the rooftop restaurant and offer 360 degree views of the city.

Working at high altitudes, in this case, 90 metres above the ground, is always a challenge. We collaborated with Schüco Sweden to further develop and specially adapt the UDC80 system, which is a structural glazing solution. It is also the only one of its kind.

Kajplats 6 was named Stockholm Building of the Year 2022.
